"We met with a couple different realtors and after meeting Jim, we knew we had the right person. Jim took the time to explain his services, the sale process, things to best position our house for sale and strategy around how to price our home. Once we said go, he had a professional photographer out to take pictures of the house and since we had a great sunset view, he even asked them to return to get a good picture of that as well. He was present at all inspections and was available anytime we had a question. We received multiple offers and our home was under contract quickly. On the purchase side, we knew what area we wanted to move to, but didn't have an exact property in mind. Jim listened to our priorities and provided us with a list of homes that might fit and set up viewings so we could get a good feel for what was out there. Since none of those homes ended up being exactly what we wanted, Jim actually joined the realtor's association in the area we were interested in and attended meetings to find out about new listings before they went up. We finally found the house we wanted and Jim was very helpful in the inspection and negotiation process (again, personally showing up to each event). He took the time to "sell" us to the sellers and build rapport with their agent. From day one, his work ethic and patience set the tone for our search and smoothed out as many bumps in the difficult process as possible. He was always reachable – even on his days off. "Jim is as good as it gets. He was able to facilitate the purchase of a home that seemed out of reach for anyone who showed interest. There was an unwilling seller who had shot down previous buyers for various reasons. It was a typical situation that many agents shy away from as they often fear the potential for loss of time and extreme disappointment. That scenario will often damage the relationship between Realtor and buyer as not all buyers understand how complex a real estate transaction can be. In this case, when it seemed obvious that even the listing agent was losing hope, it would have discouraged the best of them.  That didn’t discourage Jim! Once he saw the home he knew it was perfect for his buyers. Never putting his needs first, he encouraged his buyers to see the home and make an offer. The offer was accepted! Jim has communications skills that are unmatched and he kept EVERYONE in the loop from start to finish. This put both buyer and seller at ease right from the start. In the beginning there were times the seller would take a while to respond to questions or requests. Jim’s anticipation and communication of the problem to his buyers prevented them from having much angst or concern. "We sold and purchased a home with Jim Long! In today's society, many realtors have lost the concept/ feel for customer service. From the day my wife and I met Jim, we knew that he was the guy for the job. His introduction was very impressive and professional. He gave a literal PowerPoint presentation to cover what we'd be getting into and what he'll perform as the lead of Decision Realty Group (DRG). After making up our mind to choose DRG for our sale and purchase, Jim and his team performed beyond our expectations. We listed our home on a Thursday and wer able to solidify a buyer within the next week. Everything was 5 star all the way down to the photos taken. Before accepting an offer, Jim managed to keep us THOROUGHLY informed about the process. We SOLD but that’s not it! While selling, we were also looking to move an hour away.
